Privacy
The short version: what your family does in Little Meadow stays on your tablet. The app has no account and no cloud. It does send some usage and crash information to Google Firebase, described exactly below. None of it carries your child’s name. This website keeps your email address only if you give it to us, and only to write to you once.
In the app: what stays on the tablet
Little Meadow saves these things on the device, and nowhere else:
- Each child’s profile: a name, an optional birth year, a picture mark, and a daily play limit.
- The birth year you chose as the grown-up gate.
- Sound settings, which games are open on each shelf, and today’s stars.
- Recent play history: which games were played, on which days, and for how long.
The weekly note is made from that history on the tablet. It is not emailed and not uploaded. Play history older than 90 days is removed. There is no family account and no cloud sync in this version.
Your device’s own backup settings may include the app’s data, and restoring a backup may restore it.
In the app: what goes to Google Firebase
We use two Google Firebase services so we can see how the games are used and fix what breaks.
Usage analytics
Firebase receives app and game events (for example, that a game was started or finished), an identifier for this installation of the app, and information about the device. The app does not attach profile names, birth years or weekly notes to these events. Advertising storage and ad personalisation are switched off.
Crash reporting
If the app crashes or hits an error, Firebase receives a technical report and device information. The app removes the error’s message text before sending, and does not attach child profiles or play history.
In the app: what isn’t there
- No advertising of any kind.
- Nothing for sale, and no payment details.
- No email address, and no way for the app to contact you.
- No chat, no sharing, and no contact with other players.
Removing everything
To remove all of Little Meadow’s data from a device, delete the app on iPhone or iPad, or clear its storage in Android settings. Restoring a device backup afterwards may bring the data back.
On this website
If you ask to be told when Little Meadow is ready, we keep your email address for that one purpose and send you one email. Addresses are stored with Resend, the email service that sends it for us. We won’t add you to anything else, share your address or sell it. Every email we send has a link to leave the list, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Its fonts are served from our own host rather than a third party. Like any website, our host keeps short-lived server logs, which include your IP address, to keep the site running and secure.
